I created this 3d model in Oculus medium using an Oculus Rift CV1 while experimenting with a way to express my individual style, based on the animal sculptures made by the artist VR HUMAN. Being the first project to dip my toes into vr-sculpting, this project kicked off my series of animals. By experimenting with different resolutions, render settings and export options, this sculpture was a great stepping stone into this style of designing.

I created this project to represent the way manufactures are locking their devices down, making it harder and harder to repair and maintain our own devices. By locking these electronics shut, it often times makes repair not worth the effort and forces people to buy a replacement. I created the tree stump in Medium, and its material in Substance Designer. I put the phone together to accurately show how it looks on the inside. Blender was used for the final composite, and background as well.
